Privacy Policy
Filtizy is a product-comparison service. It needs very little personal data to work, and this page explains what it collects, why, and the control you have over it.

Who this applies to
This policy covers everyone who uses Filtizy. You can browse products, compare them and read every score without an account and without giving us any personal data. We only begin collecting personal data once you choose to create an account.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address and a password. Passwords are never stored in readable form and cannot be recovered, only reset.
Profile information you choose to add. Optional details such as a short bio, your city, state, country, postal code, date of birth and a profile picture. All of this is optional and stays blank unless you fill it in.
Your preferences. Whether you want notifications and price alerts, and any product categories or brands you mark as preferred.
Your activity on the service. The products you save to your shortlist and the products you have recently viewed, so both lists stay available to you across your devices.
Technical information. Basic information your browser sends with every request, such as your device and browser type, which is used to keep the service secure and working correctly.
Why we collect it
To create and secure your account and keep you signed in; to provide the features you ask for, such as saving products and syncing your shortlist; to tailor listings to the categories and brands you tell us you prefer; to send the notifications and price alerts you enable; and to keep the service reliable and prevent misuse.
We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and when you enable a specific feature. You may withdraw that consent at any time, as described below.
Cookies and local storage
Filtizy uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies, set only after you sign in, to keep you signed in securely and to sign you out when your session ends. They are not used to profile you or to follow you across other websites.
Your appearance preference and the working list behind the Compare page are stored locally in your own browser rather than sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels or third-party marketing scripts on this site.
How your data is shared
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
We share it only with service providers who help us operate the service - such as hosting and email delivery - under obligations to protect it and use it solely on our instructions; and where we are legally required to disclose it, for example in response to a valid order from a court or authority.
Links to retailers
Product pages link out to retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa and others so you can check current pricing and buy if you want to. Some of these are affiliate links, which means Filtizy may earn a commission at no extra cost to you - see the Terms of Service for what that does and doesn't influence.
Once you follow such a link you are on that retailer's website, governed by their privacy policy rather than this one. We do not receive your order details, payment information or anything else about what you do there.
Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure or loss, including encrypted connections and restricted internal access. No online service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we erase your personal data - profile details, preferences, saved products and view history - except where we are required by law to retain certain records for a longer period.
Your rights
You have the right to:
Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed. Correct or complete anything inaccurate - most of it you can edit yourself from your account page. Erase your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for. Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by turning off a feature or closing your account. Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
To exercise any of these, email hello@filtizy.com from the address registered on your account so we can verify the request. We will respond within the period required by law.
Children
Filtizy is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal data from, a child without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes will be brought to your attention on the site rather than made quietly.
